Top Tech Safe Plugin for Adobe Lightroom

The main function of the plugin is to hide pictures from your Adobe Lightroom catalog. Features of the plugin will let you:

• Mark a picture that contains sensitive content
• Configure the plugin
• Hide all the marked pictures from catalog gallery
• Unhide all the hide pictures from catalog gallery

How to Install the Plugin:

You can install the Plugin by following the few easy steps listed below:

• Move your TopTechSafe.lrplugin to any convenient location
• Select the Plugin Manager from Lightroom’s ‘file’ menu
• Select “Add”
• Locate the TopTechSafe.lrplugin folder and select Add Plugin

How to Configure the Plugin:

• Select the Plugin Manager from Lightroom’s ‘file’ menu
• Choose “Top Tech Safe” situated on the left bar
• Configure “Safe folder path” using the browse button
• Type password that will be used to protect your pictures

Please note that this is highly advisable to choose safe folder path on the same drive where your pictures are.

How to use the Plugin:

Mark a photo to hide:

• Go to ‘Metadata’ Lightroom pane
• Choose ‘All Plug-in Metadata’ option from dropbox in the pane header
• Under Top Tech Safe section – select ‘Yes’ for Sensitive content popup menu

Hide photos:

• Just select Library->Plug-in Extras->Top Tech Safe->Lock sensitive content in Lightroom menu.

To show hidden photos:

• Just select Library->Plug-in Extras->Top Tech Safe->Unlock sensitive content in Lightroom menu.
• You will need to enter password that you choose in configuration.

And you can do all of the above faster by using the shortcuts:

• Hide photos – Alt+L-S-L
• Show hidden photos – Alt+L-S-U

How to Uninstall the Plugin:

Just go to Lightroom’s File menu, and then select the Plugin Manager. Then Select the “Top Tech Safe” plugin, and click ‘remove’.

Please note:

The plugin just hides the pictures from the library by moving them into other folder, but not encrypt them. If you want a more privacy you can crypt safe folder using other tools.

Please note that this is highly advisable to choose safe folder path on the same drive where your pictures are. If you ignore this the performance of the will drop significantly.
